The center works with 30 beadmakers in the community and directly employs 20 young women to assemble the bead products at the Global Mamas' office.x
Global Mamas was founded in 2003 to help create prosperity for African women and their families. Their amazing global network of thousands of people include the artisans who hand make high quality goods, employees who manage production and provide customer service, international volunteers and interns who help with development, and donors who fund expansion. Global Mamas is justifiably proud of their organization and the empowerment of its African Mama artisans. Mamas have educated their children, purchased new equipment, developed new skills, opened shops, and built homes. Amazing and inspirational!
